(Trenton, SC) – A high speed chase from North Augusta through Edgefield Field County at speeds reaching 100 mph ended early this morning with a wrecked car and a suspect on the run.

The chased raced down U.S. Highway 25 from North Augusta to Trenton, SC.

The damaged vehicle belongs to a North Augusta man.
.
The numerous chasing officers chased the car on Highway 25 for about 25 minutes- until they lost site of the vehicle.
The suspect is still at large.

He is said to be wanted for questioning in a recent shooting in New Ellenton, SC and possibly drug charges – in addition to charges connected to the wild chase.
Fortunately traffic was light as the chase began just before midnight and ended about 12:20 a.m. ET on Friday, Nov. 10, 201 in Edgefield County when authorities lost site of the vehicle.

The vehicle was stopped at 225 Tweetie Rd. near Trenton, SC – and the suspect fled on foot.
“He took bush bond,” said an Edgefield County Sherrif’s deputy who spotted the car after it eluded police.
Edgefield County had requested that the high speed part of the pursuit stop.
The suspect is wanted on numerous traffic charges. Anyone with information on the man should call 911.
