(Aiken County, SC) – A high speed police chase that began late Saturday night did not end until covering nearly 100 miles and lasting about an hour and a half.

Wagener chase

Meanwhile a wrecker wrecked this morning.
The predawn wrecker crash and rollover occurred in Aiken, SC about 4 a.m. today, Sun. Jan. 7, 2017.
An officer told the dispatcher: “we’re gonna need a big wrecker” to pull the crashed wrecker up from a “steep embankment” in Aiken, SC. The wrecker driver received minor injuries.

The chase repeatedly wound through the towns of Perry, Salley and Wagener, SC involving a hometown boy.
The chase happened at the same time firefighters and police were busy at a restaurant fire north east of Aiken.
Eric Pardue chase - mug 1 201825-year-old Eric Pardue of Wagener, SC is jailed without bond this morning facing numerous charges.

Pardue has a criminal history that includes third degree assault and battery.

Initial charges include drunk driving, driving with an open alcohol container, and driving on a suspended license first offense.

Additional traffic charges are sure to be filed.

The driver led Aiken County Sheriff’s department officers on more than a dozens roads – so many the list looks like a road atlas.

Just a few of the roads/highways the chase included (some repeatedly) are Wagener Road, Rainbow Drive, (Wagener) Airport Road, Railroad Avenue, Festival Trail Road, Rogers Cemetery Road, Highway 389 (aka John Nunn Highway), Wimbledon Road, Clinton Church Road, Nantuckett Road, Kirkland Blizzard Road, Ernest Johnson Road, Poinsettia Road, Hollow Creek Road, Honeysuckle Road, Thornridge Road, Jeffcoat Road, South Dixie Highway and numerous more.

The speeds ranged from about 40 miles per hour to over 90 miles per hour. Several local residents tried to intercede in the chase by blocking the speeding car – but the driver kept making turns – like going in squares to circle the towns from all directions.
“He keeps starting and stopping – and swerving in and out of lanes,” the deputy said.
Traffic conditions were light at the time – despite a Jeep and another vehicle trying to help police – even if it was misguided assistance.
“We’ve got somebody’s civilian car trying to block him,” the deputy said adding it was a gray Jeep Liberty.
Then it happened again:
“Aiken, we’ve got somebody else trying to block him,” the deputy leading the chase reported to 911 Dispatch.
The chase wandered a few times into the counties of Orangeburg and Lexington, SC.
Law enforcement officers tried several times to lay stop sticks in front of the vehicle however, the driver was wary of the maneuver and repeatedly changed roads and directions including off-road through one person’s property.
The driver was apparently spooked by the many residents watching the chase – some of whom he feared were cops with spike strips.
Private vehicles “have him spooked,” the deputy said as the suspect made another turn.
The driver finally stopped and a felony arrest was made by deputies.

Meanwhile late Saturday morning, another driver lead North Augusta Police on a chase through the streets of the city – on and off W. Martintown Road. That chase latest about 20 minutes and reached speeds of about 60 miles per hour.
North Augusta Department of Public Safety officers arrested a man – but his identity has not been confirmed.

Intercepting hush-hush payments to Iraq from U.S. contractor leads to very secretive charges – allegedly skimming off $71,000 out of millions

(Anderson, SC) – Federal prosecutors have quietly filed charges against a Anderson, SC man who works for a super secret company that sends millions in clandestine cash payments from South Carolina to Iraqi officials.

53-year-old Charley Dean Hill of Anderson, SC is accused of not sending about $73,000 worth of the payments that were being sent to Iraq, according to the incredible felony information – a tool federal prosecutor use to get someone in custody

Federal prosecutors would only refer to the U.S. contractor as “Company A.”
In fact, the indictment gives no clue about how big the cash payments operation is to send cash payments to Iraq. However, it appears that millions of dollars were routed to Iraqi officials.

Scroll down to read the charges or click on link – and you can read or even download:
Secretive Program: Charley Dean Hill Iraq Payments

Hill is accused of making false statements to an FBI agent who traveled to Iraq to ferret out the scheme.

From February 2006 through February 2009, Hill “was employed in various capacities by a United States company that contracted with and provided integrated security and critical infrastructure services to, among other customers, the United States military (“company A”). company A operated in the Republic of lraq, among other places.,” the felony information states.

“As an employee of Company A, Hill was responsible for working with others, including Iraqi lawyers, translators, and others, to obtain licenses, permits, registrations, and visas in Iraq on Company A’s behalf,” the charges state.
On February 11, 2010, “Hill was interviewed by Special Agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (“FBI”) … at the United States Victory Base Complex, Baghdad, Iraq, concerning payments made by Hill on behalf of Company A to Iraqi entities in connection with licensing and permitting processes,” the secretive information states.

“During that interview, Hill knowingly and willfully made materially false representations to the FBI concerning whether he ever mailed shipments of money from Iraq into the District of South Carolina. In particular, Hill falsely stated that he never sent mail shipments containing money from Iraq to South Carolina, when in fact he did so on numerous prior occasions, amounting to at least $71,900.”

Hill allegedly “knowingly and willfully make a materially false, fictitious, and fraudulent statement and representation,” the information alleges. Hill “falsely told the FBI that (he) never sent mail shipments containing money from Iraq to South Carolina.” Hill “did so on numerous prior occasions, amounting to at least $71,900,” federal prosecutors allege.

The government wants Hill to pay back what he allegedly took – and prosecutors want the government paid back pronto – as in this Friday.

“Hill will execute, no later than December 22, 2017, the Consent to Administrative Forfeiture for funds he personally received for his participation in the fraudulent scheme. This Judgment will be in the amount of $71,900,” the felony information states.

The prosecutors are:

Assistant U.S. Attorney Max Cauthen of Greenville, SC

Assistant U.S. Attorney David M. Fuhr, Trial attorney for the U.S. Justice Department Fraud Section in Washington, D.C.

Hill also has previous address in La France, SC and Clemson, SC.

(Allendale, SC) – A state and federal probe into alleged corruption involving Allendale city officials appears to be much more in-depth and widespread than originally thought – as agents confiscated almost all city records amounting to tens of thousands of files and more.

Federal prosecutors – in a motion to seal the search warrant – stated officials feared tipping off “targets” of the probe – and that could result in the destruction of records and city officials fleeing to avoid prosecution.

Allendale city raid 11-3-17 graphic 3 fear of tampering

For almost a month before the raid, only a handful of state and federal law enforcement and judicial officials knew of the pending search and seizure of tens of thousands of city records and the town hall.

In fact, the motion points out that tipping off suspects could result in danger to cooperating informants and witnesses in the corruption probe.

The motion to seal the search warrant information was prepared by Asst. U.S. Attorney Jay N. Richardson on behalf of South Carolina U.S. Attorney Beth Drake.

Records obtained by S.E. Social Justice Breaking News reveal the dozens of city records obtained on Oct. 3, 2017 when state and federal agents raid the Allendale, SC City Hall – serving a search warrant and seizing thousands of pages of records with no one present representing the city when agent burst through the door.

The raid was conducted by agents of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).

Among the records seized were the “James Elmore Backhoe Injury File;”credit cards (Office Max, Home Depot); Water Department work orders; 2016 payroll records/ledgers, invoices, employee time sheets, hard drives, documents related to insurance and vehicle auction; several ledger books, numerous checkbook receipts, grant documents, documents from the insurance reserve fund; and much, much more.

In fact, it appears the probe into alleged corruption by city officials now appears to be much more sweeping than originally thought – as agents seized virtually all city records including most departments..

Here is a list of what the FBI and SLED seized:

Allendale city raid 11-3-17 graphic 2 inventory listAllendale city raid 11-3-17 graphic 4 inventory list addition

The search warrant was signed on Sept. 27, 2017 by U.S. Magistrate Judge Paige Jones Gossett in Columbia, SC – and the agents were given until Oct. 11 to conduct the raid.

FBI Special Agent Deborah Gordon inventoried what agents were removing after the surprise raid at 9:06 a.m. ET on Oct. 3, 2017.

Agent Gordon states that no one was present at city hall to received a copy of the warrant and inventory.

The official inventory sheet or thousands of city records was signed by FBI Special Agent Clay Trippi on Oct. 10, 2017

Allendale Mayor Ronnie JacksonMayor Ronnie Jackson was quoted by local TV stations (WRDW, WJBF, WAGT) – reportedly telling one station the investigation has to do with use of a piece of city equipment on land that he owned.

The mayor denied taxpayer money had been stolen.

The mayor is quoted as saying Allendale City Administrator Dewayne Ennis was inside the building along with SLED and the FBI.

However search warrants states “no one was present” except for law enforcement officials.

Bradshaw appeals,1 alleging he received ineffective assistance of counsel and arguing that the trial court erred in admitting his custodial statements at trial. Finding no error, we affirm.

Viewed in the light most favorable to the jury’s verdict, the evidence adduced at trial establishes as follows. Earl Gill befriended Bradshaw, his wife Teresa, and the Morrises, Bradshaw’s co-defendants, while staying at an Econolodge in Milledgeville, Georgia. On March 15, 2008, Gill called his drug dealer, Michael Robbins, to arrange a drug buy for himself, Bradshaw, and the Morrises, funded by the group. Later that day, Gill drove with Robbins to a nearby Wal-Mart to complete the drug transaction. Upon their arrival at the store, Gill gave Robbins the group’s money. Robbins then entered the store under the pretense of completing the drug deal, but he never returned. After a fruitless search for Robbins, Gill walked back to the Econolodge and informed Bradshaw and the Morrises that Robbins had taken their money.

Believing that Gill was in on the theft, Bradshaw and the Morrises forced Gill into the back of Bradshaw’s van and, with Teresa in the driver’s seat,2 the group proceeded to ride around town in search of the stolen money. During the search, the men periodically struck Gill and, with each unsuccessful stop, they grew angrier and more convinced that Gill had stolen their money.

Eventually, Bradshaw had Teresa pull to the side of the road after which he and the Morrises dragged Gill from the vehicle and beat him for an extended period of time, finally leaving the victim for dead. Somehow, Gill managed to regain consciousness and stumble to a nearby home. When the owners saw Gill’s extensive injuries, they took him to the hospital where he died 9 days later from severe blunt force injuries to his head.

At trial, the jury heard many witnesses testify as to the numerous post-incident inculpatory statements made by Bradshaw, his wife, and the Morrises concerning their participation in Gill’s murder. Bradshaw also confessed to law enforcement that he and the Morrises beat the victim in the van and on the side of the road. Gill’s blood was found inside Bradshaw’s van, along with a bloody baseball bat and medium force velocity blood spatter, consistent with Gill being struck with a fist or bat.
